2010 Feudi San Nicola Nero D'Avola Syrah
A juicy and lively blend from organic vineyards located within a wildlife preserve on southwest coast of Sicily, the Feudi San Nicola Nero d'Avola/Syrah 2010 is a true diamond in the rough. 70% Nero d' Avola, an indigenous Sicilian varietal, and 30% Syrah, this wine boasts bright raspberry fruits with distinct notes of pepper and spice on a balanced, medium-bodied frame. A classic Sicilian meal would pair this with roasted eggplant, but also try it with spicy red sauce pastas or even shellfish in a red wine sauce!
2008 Hyatt Cabernet Sauvignon
Spicy and flavorful with dried blueberry and currant. Hyatt is a small, domestic winery that's doing it right. Established in 1983, they make great wines at reasonable prices that are good. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is a great domestic value and shows complex berry flavors that are typical of this part of Washington. The aromas are pure Cabernet Sauvignon, while the wine's mouth-feel is lush and supple with balanced tannins which makes it a more versatile and less edgy Cab.
2007 Galan Special Selection Syrah
An intense and shiny cherry colour with a deep and aromatic scent, with a pleasant taste of eucalyptus and mint. This Syrah is fresh tasting but brimming with character. It is medium bodied and has a high concentration of mature fruits, displaying its sweet, smooth, persistent, pleasant and elegant tannins.
2010 Zolo Malbec
The diversity of vineyards and different climatic conditions brings about a greater complexity of aromas in this noble grape transforming it into a very interesting wine. Purplish red color. Fresh aromas, fruity, red fruits, plums and strawberries, with a delicate hint of vanilla. In the mouth it is smooth, and has a harmonious finish.
2007 Cantine di Castignano falerio dei Colli Asolani
Straw-like with greenish reflections, fragrance hints of newly ripened fruit, a fresh, intense and persistent tart aftertaste. Perfect with a spicy pasta dish!

2005 Pillar Box Red
There are 70,000 cases of the 2005 Red, a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot from young vines. However, this is no wimpy wine at 15% alcohol. An unbelievable value, it boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as an uplifted, projected nose of sweet red and black fruits, earth, and spice box. Supple-textured with a voluptuous mouthfeel and unbelievable richness, this wine clearly over-delivers. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years.
2008 Painted Wolf Pinotage
Pinotage is the best possible red wine in the world to pair with Mexican dishes such as Fajitas and Mole. It is also great with Cabrillo. The wine likes cumin seeds, and smoky ancho chilli flavours. Perfect this time of year with roasted peppers!
2008 Veedha Douro
A taut, muscular red, boasting concentrated dark plum, black fig and dark cherry flavors that ooze notes of chocolate mousse. Dense midpalate, with notes of cream and hazelnut on the long finish. Drink now through 2016
2009 Accademia dei Racemi “Anarkos,” Puglia
A wine with a mission... the Anarkos wine has set a goal to go against the sacrifice of ancient vines and vineyard lands, the capitalistic colonization of the vineyard lands, and the overall political issues surrounding the laws connected to the planting of the traditional wines of Puglia in Southern Italy. The label playfully reflects this message with the word, “Anarkos.” The wine is delicious and true to the region. The structure of the Anarkos is rich, dense and full of red fruit flavor from the blend of Malvasia Nera, Primitivo, and Negramaro. There is a subtle dusty, woodsy, earth component that adds complexity and charm to this flavorful, spicy, Southern Italian red.
2009 Starry Night MoonHead Red
When one of Starry Night’s workers mistakenly pumped Petite Sirah into a Zinfandel tank, they weren’t sure what to do…until they tasted it! There was no question that this blend had to be bottled.
Made from Petite Sirah (58%) and Zinfandel (42%). This wine has all the best features of the two varietals. It has rich, dark stone fruit flavors with white pepper and anise notes. It can be enjoyed on its own, or will pair nicely with hearty pasta, beef, lamb, pork or chicken. It is especially good with anything barbecued!!
2008 Kaiken Corte Malbec-Bonarda-Petite Verdot
This is the first of a new range of Kaiken wines. A CORTE, the Argentinean word for blend, made up of Malbec (80%), Bonarda (12%) and Petit Verdot (8%). The grapes were carefully grown and selected by Aurelio Montes from Mendoza´s premier wine regions. The Malbec contributes a soft structure and lovely aromas of violets and dry plums; the Bonarda provides a lovely nose and soft tannins and the Petit Verdot adds strength and body.
2009 Schmitges Rivaner
The 2009 Rivaner Dry is actually made from the grape Muller-Thurgau, which is a cross (not a blend) between the Riesling and Sylvaner grapes. The pale straw color of this wine and brilliant clarity are the first signs of the elegance of this first class wine. Granny smith apple, lime and white peach dominate in the aromas of this wine while white floral bouquets and a slight minerality linger with you for a few seconds.
2009 La Granacha Vielles Vignes Signargues
The 2009 La Granacha is made from 100% old vine Grenache (some parcels are nearly 100 years old) … precise, fresh, lively kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with tobacco leaf, loamy soil, and forest floor characteristics. This delicious, deep ruby/plum-colored, round, generous, glycerin-filled wine can be enjoyed over the next several years.
2009 Chateau Puech-Haut Prestige
2009 Château Puech-Haut Coteaux du Languedoc Saint-Drézéry Cuvée Prestige, a blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah aged all in concrete vats, presents a heady concoction of blackberry and raspberry liqueur, licorice, flowers, and garrigue on the nose. While very ripe, its amazingly fresh and focused, possessing full body, a luscious, rich texture, loads of sweet fruit, and long, borderline decadent finish. Bio-dynamically farmed vineyard. This wine will be featured at our wine tasting dinner at Jake & Telly’s at the end of February. Not to be missed!
2009 Hecula Monastrell
Ruby-red. Intensely perfumed aromas of raspberry, cola and fresh flowers. Juicy and precise in the mouth, offering sweet red berry flavors and a touch of floral pastille. The floral note comes back on the long, penetrating finish, which features a spicy quality and zesty minerality. This is quite complex for the price.

2006 Rosenthal Surfrider Hang Ten
Deep garnet color. Bright aromas of dried cherries and spice follow through on a round, satiny entry to a fruity medium- body with nice depth and tangy pepper, cocoa, and earth notes on the soft tannin finish. Tasty.
2009 Radio-Coteau La Neblina
92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium ruby. Sexy, expressive aromas of dark berries, licorice, sassafras and smoky minerals. Juicy and tightly wound, even youthfully tangy, with a pliant structure and a restrained sweetness to the flavors of black raspberry, cherry preserves, minerals, rose and licorice pastille. Becomes spicier toward the back, finishing with silky tannins and impressive purity. This wine's lively fruit makes it enjoyable now."
2010 Abstract Red Blend
Abstract came out of Dave Phinney's love of Grenache and a desire to make a blend using that varietal as the focal point. The wine has an inky concentration rounded out with Petite Sirah and Syrah.
Abstract is a blend of Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Syrah primarily from hillside vineyards. The aromas are laced with crushed black fruits and bing cherry. A mouth coating entry leads nicely into a mid palate with excellent structure and balanced acidity. Ripe cherry and strawberry dominate the finish which is clean and long.
2007 Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer George III Vineyard comes from clone 337, from a Beckstoffer-owned vineyard in Rutherford. Its dense purple color is followed by a big, sweet nose of black cherries, black currants, cedar, spice box, and subtle oak. Enormously concentrated and full-bodied with superb minerality as well as tannic structure, it will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age, and should evolve for three decades.
2006 Numanthia Termanthia Toro
This red is so thick and rich it's almost oily in texture, with exotic flavors of black fruit, game, dried herb and hoisin. Muscular tannins keep this structured, but give way to floral and graphite notes on the finish. A powerful wine with modern structure and distinctive character. Best from 2011 through 2020. 530 cases made.
2007 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Rouge
Tight but already alluring, with gorgeous fig cake and warm cocoa aromas slowly yielding to a dark, dense core of plum, blueberry, hoisin sauce, currant reduction and maduro tobacco. Muscular but supervelvety, with a long finish. There's impressive density for the vintage. Best from 2011 through 2026. 2,040 cases made.
2004 Renato Corino Arborina Bardo
The 2003 Barolo Arborina reveals great depth in its expansive sweet fruit, licorice, earthiness and menthol notes. It is made in a fairly accessible style... Anticipated maturity: 2008-2015
2009 Clio
It has arrived!! The 2009 Clio, much like the 2004, is a show stopper! A powerhouse of a Spanish red with huge press year after year. Clio is made up of 67% old vine Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it displays an in-your-face bouquet of wood smoke, underbrush, incense, blueberry, and black currant. Dense, chewy, packed and stacked, the fruit quality is superb, the balance impeccable, and the finish lasts for nearly a minute.
2007 Paradigm Cabernet
Made by famous Napa Valley winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett, this wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with 7% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot added to the blend for extra dimension. A powerful wine from an excellent vintage, the 2007 offers a sweet mocha and blackberry nose accented by a touch of sweet black licorice. It is full and lush, with mouthfilling berry fruit, vanilla and spice underscored by a bit of tobacco. A powerful wine now, this will age nicely in your cellar over the next decade, maybe even more.
2007 Bouchaine Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir
The Bouchaine 2007 Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir was blended from a selection of the most dramatic estate wine lots to yield the most expressive wine possible. These are among the southernmost plantings in the Napa Valley and encompass the highest landmark terraces in the Carneros. The vineyard reaps the full benefit of the region’s defining marine influence, which, along with limited irrigation water, serves to limit crop size, retain bright fruit acidity, and assure early ripening making the most well behaved and richly flavored wines. The 2007 vintage was marked by fears of drought conditions early in the season, but prudent watering from partially-filled ponds allowed for full fruit development while limiting crop yields.
2007 Peter Michael “Ma Belle Fille” Chardonnay
The 2007 Ma Belle-Fille is spectacularly intense, boasting aromas of ripe peach, tangerine blossom, dried apricot, golden apple and nectarine, accented with wet stone-like minerality, brioche and lily flower notes. Generous in the mouth, rich and concentrated, the wine displays flavors of William pear, honey, dried almond, meringue, dry chamomile, orange rind and notes of baked Reinette apple. In the mouth, the wine is tactile, gourmand and extremely pure. Layered and seductive, the finish is very long.
Pierre Peters Champagne Grand Cru Le Mesnil St Oger
The wine is clear or pale with hints of green typical to the Chardonnay. The nose is both flowery and fruity. Citrus brings a beautiful impression of smoothness and freshness. The first impression is dominated with fresh white fruits (Lemon, Pear)
and with flowers (Acacia), followed by creamy notes. The finish is persistent on the citrus (candied grapefruit, tangerine and lemon) and minerality, bringing freshness and elegance to the wine.
2006 Neyen del Apalta Espiritu de Apalta
The purple-colored 2006 Espiritu de Apalta is composed of 50% Carmenere, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Petit Verdot bottled without filtration. It offers a nose of toasty oak, pencil lead, spice box, cinnamon, clove, sage, blueberry, and blackberry. Plush on the palate, it has layered fruit, succulent flavors and a finish which is long and pure. Drink it over the next 8-10 years.
2010 Palermo Cabernet Sauvignon
Love Orin Swift’s The Prisoner then you’ll love Palermo. Aromas of dark, brooding fruit with subtle French oak in the background lead into a smooth entry of ripe cherry and fig. The mid-palate is subtle and stretches with loads of bright acidity and candied cassis. Layers of stone fruit and ribena lead into a round, supple, lingering finish of integrated soft tannins that roll on and on. This wine is amazing now and has another 8 to 10 years in it at least! And the label is just amazing!
2009 Sparkman Ruckus
Ruckus is a blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon from Klipsun and Kiona Vineyards on Red Mountain. Massive, ripe and supple with truckloads of wild blackberry, blueberry pie, licorice, smoke and toasty oak. Firm tannins frame sweet opulent black fruit.
